Welcome to Parklane Elementary's Data Page!

Parklane Elementary School students participate in benchmark testing three times a year; beginning, middle, and end. Benchmark assessments refer to testing all students within a school to identify those who may be at risk for reading or math difficulties. The benchmark tests that are completed at Parklane ES include Benchmark Assessment System (BAS), iReady Reading and Math. Teachers utilize the information from these assessments to determine the strengths and areas for growth for their students and adjust instructional practices to best meet the needs of ALL students. 

BENCHMARK ASSESSMENT SYSTEM (BAS)

Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System measures reading fluency and comprehension in grades Kindergarten through five.  Students read leveled passages and answer comprehension questions for each passage. Students' reading levels are identified by letters ranging from A-Z.
